In June 2022, I was appointed as a Project Manager to lead on a discovery project for point-of-care testing (POCT). My role was to work on a vision that we had at Milton Keynes University Hospital (MKUH) based on the Pathology – Getting it Right First Time (GIRFT) report. This vision was to identify and discover POCT devices in use within our primary care service, namely GP practices, in order to look at the governance of POCT.
