Pharmacogenomics

Pharmacogenomics is a new and developing research field focused on the interplay between the human genome and the safety and efficacy of modern drugs, which may level the playing field for patients.

There are many factors at play in the study of pharmacogenomics, making it vital that laboratory equipment delivers accurate, precise and repeatable results.

OHAUS offers a comprehensive selection of intuitive, safe and compact options for every lab.

Protein labelling

Fluidic Analytics Ltd has launched a time-saving and affordable protein labelling kit – fluidiphore rapid amine 503.

Absorbing at 503nm, the new kit can be used with a multitude of techniques, including the company’s groundbreaking Fluidity One-W instrument for protein interaction analysis.

Fluorescent labelling of proteins, such as antibodies, DNA and lipids, is widely used to investigate and better understand protein structure and function.

Tech transfer

Technology and product development company TTP and DiaSorin, a global leader in the
in vitro diagnostic (IVD) field, have signed an exclusive licence and technology transfer agreement.

DiaSorin will combine its extensive molecular test offering with TTP’s Puckdx platform to develop a single-use, sample-to-answer, molecular diagnostics point-of-care platform for human IVD applications.
